Communicator 2.0: Improved Document Formatting

By Marketing
16 September 2009

Committed to continuous improvement, Westlogic’s Communicator development roadmap

saw the implementation of two document formatting feature enhancements in the August 2009 release of Communicator 2.0.

Advanced text editor upgrade

Communicator’s document text editor has received a major facelift to the latest TinyMCE 3.5 editor. TinyMCE, the internet’s leading web-based html WYSIWYG full text editor, offers new formatting tools providing greater control

over style and alignment of text, spell checking, bullets and numbered lists, hyperlinks, insertion of graphics, tables and even raw HTML to enable embedding rich multimedia sources such as YouTube video or surveys.

Improved document header and footer options

Development tweaks in Communicators Page Setup menu have yielded new options to create and standardise new stylised letterhead and footer content across all communications. Communicator administrators now have greater control over page, footer and header functionality to incorporate new corporate branding and logo placement, boilerplate text, footnotes, legal disclaimers or other nota bene information across all communications.
